Dementia Associations and Societies As you may or may not be aware, dementia awareness and prevalence across the world is increasing, even more so as most countries have aging populations and the incidence of dementia increases amongst older people. As a result, there is nearly always an official dementia relevant association or branch in the city you live in or a city nearby. The most common organisations being those that support people diagnosed with Alzheimer disease and their carers, as Alzheimer's disease is currently the most common form of dementia. We have provided links to Alzheimer organisations across the world (by country head offices) on the map below, or you can go directly to our alphabetical listing of these. Nevetheless be aware also, that even if the dementia you are dealing with is not 'Alzheimer's disease', often your local Alzheimer's organisation will still offer their assistance or will be able to point you in the right direction in order to find more relevant help for you.
